The club lost a good one this month — our friend, proud member, fellow angler, and captifying storyteller Ronny Dinkins. His laugh energized the clubhouse and his wit was quicker than a brook trout on one of his hand-tied Maple Syrups! Ronny was a proud Mainer through and through — who knew every back road, fishing hole, and well traveled deer trail. He fished and hunted hard, laughed harder, and left all of us a little better for having shared our lives with him. We’ll miss his quick jokes and warm company at the Veazie Salmon Club.
If you did not catch his family wrote a wonderful obituary which we are humbly proud to share within our Veazie Salmon Club membership. Several times this week people have stopped by and had not heard about the passing of Ronny. Something drew them to take a trip to visit the Club and when engaged the first thing they shared was their love and connection for Ronny. Then their sadness and shock to hear the news.
Forever tight lines and Shoot Straight Ronny. The Veazie Salmon Club will forever carry on your stories and your spirit — though none of us will ever tell them quite like you did.
